It's an online process costing US$80.90 and usually takes 48–72 hours, but don't leave it to the last minute. UK and EU citizens still travel visa-free with a passport. Always double-check with your airline and the Brazilian consulate before you fly: rules can change.

Apply at brazil.vfsevisa.com. Beware of third-party sites that charge extra.
Gather your documents
A valid passport, a recent digital photo and your trip details. You may be asked for proof of funds, lodging or an onward ticket.
Fill in the form and pay
The fee is US$80.90, paid by card on the portal.
Wait for approval
48–72 hIt usually takes 48–72 hours, but apply several weeks ahead in case they ask for more.
Print or save the PDF
Your airline may ask for it at check-in and immigration on arrival.
Traveling with minors
A child traveling without both parents needs a notarized travel consent letter from the absent parent(s). Bring the child's birth certificate too. Even when both parents travel, carrying proof of the relationship avoids problems.
Vaccines and travel insurance
