Maracanã stadium tour
If there's no match during your stay, the official tour (from R$94, Sep 2026) covers the locker rooms, the players' tunnel, the stands and a museum on the stadium's history, including the 1950 and 2014 World Cup finals. It takes about an hour and pairs well with Christ the Redeemer or downtown the same day.
FIFA Women's World Cup 2027
Brazil hosts South America's first Women's World Cup, from June 24 to July 25, 2027. Maracanã hosts the opening match and the final. Tickets are sold through FIFA; if you're visiting then, book lodging and tours early — Rio will be packed.
